BURNING INSTRUCTIONS

• Always trim the wick to 1/4 inch (6mm) before lighting your candle.
• Burn for 3-4 hours for the first burn to ensure the whole top is a melt pool.

If there are any black bits on the wick from a previous burn, Because of the shimmer additive you may see some shimmer and wax build up on the wick. Be sure to gently remove it before lighting. You can simply use your fingers to pinch it off and remove the black bits. BE GENTLE as you do not want to break the wick off too far down. Be sure the candle is cooled and hardened before doing so, so any bits can easily be shaken off the top and don't get stuck in the wax and you don't burn your fingers.

• Be sure to only burn your candle on a level surface.
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

• Keep away from drafts and vibrations.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Never burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire.

CANDLE CARE

Candle Tunneling

Candles have what is referred to as wax memory. Wax memory is the area of the candle that melts much quicker than the rest of the candle because it hasn't cooled back to the original hardness. That means it can be difficult to change a burning pattern once one has been established. If your candle has developed some tunneling you can try a few things to fix it. 

First option: If your candle will stay lit, give it a good long burn until all the wax is melted on top evenly.

Second option: If your candle won't stay lit because your wick is submerged by wax you can try using a paper towel to soak up some of the extra wax to give space for the wick to light. Wait a couple minutes, relight your candle, and repeat until your wick has room to stay lit.

Third option: You can wrap tinfoil around the top edge of the candle to create a heat dome. Check it after about an hour to see if the tunnel is gone. You can search many videos on YouTube that show exactly how to do this. Search HOW TO FIX CANDLE TUNNELING WITH TINFOIL
